Random Scribblings: Life, Career, Creativity, and Whatnot
I have known Nichole Martinson since 2007. When I received a German fellowship for Cambridge UK, she became my teacher in English for a couple of months until I crossed the Channel. Through a series of private lessons, Nichole contributed to reviving and brushing up on my knowledge of English, which had been put on the back burner due to a need to focus on learning German. Nichole was not only amazingly competent and systematic in her teaching, but also extremely able to tailor down her teaching agenda to my interests. On top of everything, I had a whale of a time due to her sharp-wit and humor.
Ever since then, Nichole has been editing my conference papers and articles through all the steps of my career. I am delighted to have found someone who always offers such diligent and sensitive work that meets my deadlines. Moreover, Nichole always accompanies her editing with thorough explanations to satisfy my learning nature. Through editing, she continues to teach me, including how to avoid my tendency to Germanize my speaking and writing in English. She's also helped me to excel in using (the right) idioms, increase clarity by tweaking things, specifically, breaking down long sentences, and perfecting flow and pacing. Thus, I most highly recommend Nichole for her services. Her aptitude in a large variety of languages is a rare asset and her teaching and editing skills impeccable.
